In the settlement of Klima you will find the ruins of the old Klima, the first port of the island. After the decline and destruction of Fylakopi, about in 1100 BC-800 BC, the Dorians built from the southern part of Tripiti to the area of today's Klima. Today you can visit the two citadels of the settlement, the place where Aphrodite of Milos was found, parts of the ancient theater, the hill of Profitis Ilias and Pyrgaki, parts of the market wall, parts of the temple of the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
At the end of the road from Tripiti to the Catacombs, you will meet the walls of the ancient city and a few steps further, in an area where the school is supposed to be located, you will see the place where the local farmer found in 1820 the famous statue of Aphrodite. Walking on the dirt road you will be led to the ancient Roman theater. The Ancient City of Klima is a city with a long history and many attractions. Take a lot of time, as you will leave with a lot of knowledge!
