The ancient theater of Milos is located on the hillside, where the ancient city extends and near the catacombs, between the present settlements of Tripiti and Klima, with amazing views of the bay of Milos. The theater has very good acoustics. It was accidentally discovered in the 18th century by a Jesuit monk and traveler, Nicolas Sarrabat, who identified signs of theater. The ancient Roman Theater was originally built by the inhabitants of the ancient city of Klima, probably during the Hellenistic era (3rd century BC). During the Roman years, however, after the destruction of the city by the Athenians, a larger ancient Roman Theater was built made of Parian all-white marble and magnificent reliefs, which is estimated to hold about 7,000 spectators. Surviving from the theater are the floor of the stage, seven marble stands, six rows of seats, the concave, the orchestra and many architecturally elaborate places.
Thus, there are a lot of times it was available for theatrical performances and musical events, since in its current state it can accommodate up to 700 people after the completion of its promotion work that was completed in July 2016. Visit it and try it for yourself you how good acoustics it is, just talk and you will be heard up to the last steps!
